About product
Peelings can significantly help revitalise the skin thanks to their ability to remove dead skin cells and improve the blood supply to the skin - which refines and brightens the complexion. A classic peeling with coarse particles mechanically disrupts the surface of the skin completely - so also the healthy areas where exfoliation is not needed. With acne-prone skin the infection is simply spread around – bacteria settle much more easily in skin that has been “injured” this way. And you are then in a cycle of acne formation that can keep repeating.
A gentler way is precisely a peeling in the form of fruit acids and enzymes, which work on a different principle – they effectively “dissolve” impurities and dead cells.. It works on a similar principle to a chemical peel – but it is less harsh and even sensitive skin will appreciate it, since the enzymes target only the dead cells in the upper layers of the skin. That makes it safe for all skin types.
The use of enzymes extracted from fruit is not new. Their benefits are well known and are also practised in Ayurvedic medicine. It is precisely the enzymes in fruit that are credited with the functional properties of cosmetics.
This type of peeling does not act so abruptly. A partial effect is visible right after application, but its full effect takes longer to appear. So the full effect is only seen after several uses - as it speeds up cell turnover, which in reality takes several weeks depending on age and skin type.
The base of the peeling is organic Rose water. It maintains the skin’s pH, hydrates it, stimulates regenerative processes and has anti-inflammatory effects. It refreshes and soothes redness and allergic reactions of the skin.
Bromelain
is an enzyme found in pineapple which has excellent anti-inflammatory and exfoliating effects, and its main function is to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum. It is used in the care of problem skin to reduce inflammation, it refines and improves the appearance of the skin and gives it a healthy, fresh glow. It also acts as a humectant and prevents the skin from drying out, forming a protective film on the skin that prevents dehydration. It improves skin elasticity, which is the main reason for its use in anti-age care.
Papain
The extract of Papaya has hydrating and brightening effects. It helps gently but effectively dissolve and digest the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and leaves the skin revitalised. It soothes irritated skin, contains vitamins A and E and is a rich source of antioxidants.
For deeper cleansing the peeling also contains White Willow extract = plant-based/natural salicylic acid (BHA), which is gentler and according to scientific studies even more effective than the synthetic one. It is not soluble in water but in fats- which in practice means it is able to penetrate deep into the pores and clean them from the inside-which no other cosmetic substance can do. That is also the reason, why it can very effectively reduce so-called blackheads. It helps gently exfoliate the top layer of the skin and is ideal for relieving inflammation and redness. It cleanses the pores, relieves acne and irritation, evens out the skin tone and increases its firmness. It is suitable for the care of mature skin too, reducing fine lines and pigmentation. Although salicin is extremely effective, it is gentle and non-irritating, so it is safe for almost all skin types.
How to use: We recommend using it at most once a week. Apply to cleansed and dampened skin (avoid the eye area) and leave on for 5 – 10 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and finish with a cotton pad.
Finally apply the rose water, serum and nourishing cream.
The enzymatic peeling is used on cleansed skin. Sebum could get in the way of how it works.
It improves the penetration of other products into the skin. Since the enzymatic peeling removes dead skin, the other cosmetic steps in your routine really can be far more effective.
Redness or a mild stinging during application or immediately afterwards is a normal reaction.
For 24 hours after application do not expose the skin to direct sunlight, or use adequate protection against UV radiation.
Store out of reach of children, in a dry, cool and dark place at a temperature of 12 – 25 °C. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes and injured skin. If it gets into the eyes, rinse with water. For external use only.
